the course is mandattory for personnel working on board oil and chemical tankers (Reg.V/1)

This course provides training for officers and ratings who have not previously worked on board tankers as part of the regular complement and meets the mandatory requirements for training ship’s crews – Reg. V/1-1 para 2.2  and Code A- V/1-1 para 1, table V/1-1-1 of the STCW 78 as amended. The course includes basic safety and pollution prevention precautions and procedures, layouts of different types of oil and chemical tankers, types of cargoes, their hazards and their handling equipment. 
The course is based on IMO “Model Course 1.01 - Tanker Familiarization” in accordance with   Reg. V/1-1 para 2.2 and Code A- V/1-1 para 1,  table V/1-1-1 of the STCW 78 as amended  and the Directive 2008/106/EU, as well.
ENTRY STANDARDS - The trainees should have completed approved by the Bulgarian Maritime Administration basic safety training courses in accordance with Reg. VI/1 and section A-VI/1 of STCW 78 as amended.
